The View from the Shard

The Shard is the tallest building in Western Europe and has quickly become an icon on the London skyline.

Before it opened to the public, Event asked us to create a 3D animation of their new visitor experience, the observation deck, The View.

Set against a piece of music by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, this animation was the first marketing stage in what has become the newest visitor attraction in London.

Storyboarding the entire experience from a first-person perspective, starting from the opening lobby, we took the viewer through some of the key highlights, such as the ‘Walking with Londoners’ exhibition, the Transition Zone, Cloud Zone, The View Observation Deck and finally the ‘Sounds of London’ at the very top.
